Three Pillars of Psychometric Science
Persona IQ's assessment methodology is built on three foundational frameworks that have been refined over decades of organizational psychology research.
Big Five Model
The most widely validated personality framework in psychology, measuring Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Emotional Stability
Cognitive Diversity
Research on how different thinking styles complement each other in team settings, based on decades of team performance studies
Person-Environment Fit
P-E Fit theory explains why the same person thrives in one environment and struggles in another — it's about alignment, not quality
Validation & Reliability
Our assessment instrument has been tested across thousands of respondents to ensure it accurately and consistently measures what it claims to measure.
No Adverse Impact
Persona IQ is designed to be fair across all demographic groups. Our assessment does not correlate with age, gender, race, or ethnicity — it measures only job-relevant working personality traits. This has been independently verified across diverse populations.
Why Personality Predicts Performance
Decades of meta-analytic research (Schmidt & Hunter, 1998; Barrick & Mount, 1991) have consistently shown that personality traits, particularly Conscientiousness and Emotional Stability, are among the strongest predictors of job performance across roles.
When combined with cognitive ability and structured interviews, personality assessment provides the most complete and accurate picture of a candidate's likely success in a role.
The Evidence
Research across 85+ years of personnel selection science shows that structured personality assessments predict job performance with validity coefficients of .31-.65, compared to .18 for unstructured interviews and .10 for years of experience alone.
Persona IQ doesn't replace your hiring process — it augments it with the one data point most companies are missing: who this person actually is beneath the resume.
Ethical Commitments
We believe personality data is powerful and must be handled responsibly. Our commitments:
Our Ethical Framework
Candidate consent and transparency in all assessments. No discriminatory variables in scoring algorithms. All candidates receive their own personality profile as a benefit. Data deleted upon candidate request. Regular third-party bias audits. EEOC compliance built into every feature.
